Biography: 

Slavjanka Petrovska was born on January 11th, 1982, in Skopje where she completed primary and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” within the University of “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. 

In the period 2003-2006 she worked in the Secretariat on European Affairs. 

In the period 2006-2008 she worked in the Assembly, Sector on International Cooperation, and in the period 2008-2015 she worked in the Sector for support and National Council on Euro-Integrations. 

In the between December 2015 and May 2016 and September to December 2016 she was member of the Cabinet of the Minister of the Interior and as of 2017 she was chief of staff for the Minister of the Interior. 

During this time Petrovska was vice-president of both work groups in charge of implementation of the reforms in the security-intelligence services and the system for interception of communications. 

On January 3rd, 2020, the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia elected her for additional deputy of the Minister of the Interior in the government which organized and conducted the early parliamentary elections which took place in July 2020. 

As of 2020 until she was appointed Minister of Defence, Petrovska was Member of the Parliament in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia and a member of the Legislative Commission, the Commission for Monitoring the measures for interceptions of communications and the Commission for monitoring the work of the National Security Agency and the Intelligence Agency. 

At the moment she is candidate for master’s degree in Constitution Law at the Law Faculty in Skopje. 

Fluently speaks English language, good command of Italian and Russian.
