Minister Dimovski presents Macedonia's agricultural potentials before Indian businessmen

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Ljupco Dimovski presented Thursday the potentials of Macedonia's economy before representatives of an Indian multinational company, which represents PepciCo in India, the Agriculture Ministry said.

The company's focus is in bottling sparkling and soft drinks and in manufacturing and packaging milk and dairy products. Its representatives are visiting Macedonia to examine the investment conditions in dairy industry.

At the meeting, minister Dimovski said Macedonia was a solid manufacturer of agricultural produces. "Macedonia marks a constant growth in production and export of produces," he added.

The minister pointed out that Macedonia was a major producer of apples, peaches, apricots and cherries, which are mostly exported in EU and Russia.

The Indian businessmen showed interest in the diary industry i.e. milk quality and standards needed to be fulfilled for export.
