Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said regarding his expectations from the coming European Council meeting  that he has been extremely careful with statements over the past six months in order to prevent their abuse.

"Therefore, I will refrain from giving a statement. We will wait for the Brussels decision. We are carefully monitoring developments, communicating at all levels", said PM Gruevski after Sunday's promotion of new books within edition "Translation of Literary Works by Literature Nobel Prize Laureates".

The EU's General Affairs Council is set to decide on Tuesday whether and when would Macedonia start Union accession talks.
