The actions of (opposition party) SDSM are unreasonable and harmful for the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia. Branko Crvenkovski's main goal is to avoid the forthcoming local elections and hence tell his party that he was not defeated and should stay on the party's helm, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters on Friday, after a meeting of the leaders of parties of the coalition 'For Better Macedonia.'

"He takes into consideration only his personal interests, not the ones of his party, devising various ideas to obstruct, blackmail, create chaos for the citizens to be disappointed by the incumbent Government, (ruling) VMRO-DPMNE) and its coalition partners, so that they will vote against them at the next local elections," Gruevski said.

It is obvious that Crvenkovski wishes to create a chaos, crisis to prevent retired citizens to get higher pensions, welfare benefits to be increased, farmers to get subsidies...

SDSM has been manipulating citizens by telling them that the party works to prevent the Greek scenario in Macedonia, Gruevski said.
