FM Poposki meets a delegation of Indonesian House of Representatives
The cooperation between Macedonia and Indonesia, as well as possibilities for its bolstering were a subject of discussion at Wednesday's meeting of Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki and a delegation of Indonesian House of Representatives.
The Indonesian delegation told Mr. Poposki that after his visit to Jakarta, the drafting of bilateral agreements on avoiding double taxation and protection of investments was in a final stage, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
The documents will enable more efficient cooperation between the two countries, the interlocutors agreed, pointing out the significance of further bilateral contacts and exchange of visits for advancing the economic ties. Indonesia is a fast-growing economy and wishes to expand its presence in the region, so Macedonia may be an attractive business destination to that effect.
The two countries should take advantage of the existing economic potential, Minister Poposki said, presenting Macedonia's favorable opportunities for investments and doing business. Establishing of a direct cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and business communities of both countries offers opportunity for more intensive economic cooperation and realization of concrete projects, he added.
