The Government has accepted the request by the Bar Association and lawyers for scrapping the Law on Lawyers' Stamps, thus enabling the fiscalization of their services.

"The Finance Ministry will propose changes to the law through the introduction of fiscal cash registers", Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said.

According to him, the move puts lawyers in the same position as executors, notaries, dentists, doctors, accounting bureaus etc.

"The Government has once again demonstrated constructiveness when it comes to talks with certain structures in society, towards finding solutions that are most pragmatic and appropriate for the profession, but without bringing into question the tax system", Stavreski said.
