FM Poposki meets Macedonia's honorary consuls

Macedonia's more efficient promotion, stimulating a more systematic approach for regular briefing on the country's business opportunities, but also monitoring of achievements and setting goals in respective states, agreed Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki and about 40 honorary consuls of Macedonia abroad.

"The same information and activities is not relevant for every country. We should identify the countries with large potential for attraction of tourists, investments, exports. We should also use the consuls in EU and NATO member-states, so that they use the crucial arguments in talks with political representatives of the respective country", said FM Poposki after Monday's meeting.

According to him, certain honorary consuls have truly contributed to Macedonia's promotion, cooperation and investments.

"We have tried to animate all those where a diplomatic-consular office is lacking, although such an institution is irreplaceable. However, a consul can be very useful in the aspect of promotion and business relations", added Poposki.
