PM Gruevski: GDP growth, result of positive economic developments

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said Sunday the GDP growth resulted from the positive economic developments in 2013.

"The Central Bank projected 2.3-percent growth, but now it has revised it to 3.3 percent. Projections for next two years have also been upped to 3.7 and 4.4 percent respectively", PM Gruevski told journalists.

According to him, the positive developments have surprised the Central Bank, the IMF and other financial institutions, resulting in revision of projections.

"Although there are still risks due to the European debt crisis, Macedonia's perspectives have improved", added Gruevski.

The PM stressed the revisions in projections also resulted from the Government's measures towards improving the business environment, attracting foreign investors, assisting domestic companies in getting cheaper loans etc.
