Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski sent a note of congratulations to representatives of the Turkish ethnic community in Macedonia on the occasion of the Day of Education in Turkish Language (Dec. 21).

"The day offers another opportunity to mark and celebrate the long tradition of coexistence and togetherness representing a permanent value of the life in Macedonia. The Turkish community is a respected and vital part of the Macedonian multi-ethnic society. These occasions are confirming our long-term commitment to nourishing and advancing mutual relations in Macedonia and fostering friendship and excellent ties with Turkey," says Gruevski.

The Turkish community in Macedonia has been playing a role in the social, cultural, sporting, educational and economic development of the country, reads the note.
