Prime Minister Zaev leads the Delegation of the Government of North Macedonia on the NATO Leaders Meeting in London honoring the 70th anniversary of the Alliance

The President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, will lead the delegation of our country consisted of the Deputy President of the Government and Minister of Defence, Radmila Shekerinska, Deputy President of the Government in charge of European Affairs, Bujar Osmani and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, on NATO Leaders Meeting in London on 3rd and 4th December, marking the 70th anniversary of the Alliance.

The central event is the NAC meeting of heads of states and governments which will take place on Wednesday, 4th December. Prime Minister Zaev will also take participation at the meeting thus representing North Macedonia on the highest level in the work of the Alliance. This comes after the signing of the NATO Accession Protocol for North Macedonia which took place in February this year and was so far ratified by 28 NATO member-states.

By participating on the Leaders Meeting North Macedonia reaffirms its determination for sharing the principles of shared security and building strong trans-Atlantic relations with the most powerful military and political alliance based on democratic values, as a foundation for shared prosperity and progress of the member-states.

The soon to be full-fledged NATO membership is, in fact, realization of the strategic objective of our country envisaged with a consensus in 1993 and provides ideal conditions for reinforced and accelerated economic development.

Tomorrow, on December 3rd Prime Minister Zaev will participate on the panel “Discussions – Defence and Deterrence for the new era” within the frames of the Conference NATO Engages: Innovating the Alliance.

Prime Minister Zaev will be accompanied by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda.

During the two-day NATO Summit in London Prime Minister Zaev and the members of the delegation of the Government of North Macedonia attend have several bilateral meetings. 
Furthermore, the President of the Government, Zoran Zaev has been invited for a reception organized by Queen Elizabeth in the Buckingham Palace which will be hosted for all elegations to honor the NATO Leaders Meeting. Moreover, he will attend a dinner for the heads of states and/or governments hosted by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson.
