Today the President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, arrived in Tirana, Republic of Albania, for the meeting of enhancing cooperation of the Western Balkan Countries.
The third session of the series of meetings, following Novi Sad and Ohrid, beside the host, Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, will be attended by the Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
At the Tirana airport, Prime Minister Zaev was welcome by Bledi Cuci, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. The first informal meeting between the leaders was held in the afternoon.
Tonight, the President of the Government of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, together with the other leaders, will attend the concert “You Will Never Be Alone” which is a donor’s event for reconstruction of the damages caused by the earthquake on 26th November that hit the city of Durres and other places in Albania.
The main activities start tomorrow with the working session of the WB leaders with a meeting in Tirana, followed by a plenary sessions which is to be attended by representatives from the political and financial institutions of EU, World Bank, RCC, as well as representatives from the US State Department.
On Sunday, on a press conference, the leaders will inform about the conclusions from this session of the initiative for enhancement of the cooperation on the Western Balkans.
As part of the program, the participants will visit Durres to express their support for the citizens who were struck by the tragic consequences of the earthquake.
Prime Minister Zaev will use this opportunity to welcome the work of the Conference “75 years education in Macedonian language in Albania” where he was invited together with Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.
