Tomorrow the President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, accompanied by the Deputy-Prime Minister on European Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov and the Foreign Minister, Bujar Osmani, will depart Slovenia in order to participate at the EU-Western Balkans Summit that will take place in Brdo near Kranj.
The Summit is taking place under the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of EU 2021 will gather the heads of states and governments of the EU member-states, the leaders of the Western Balkans countries, as well as the leaders of the European Council and the European Commission. The participants will discuss EU policies on the Western Balkans for the forthcoming period, including the topic of enlargement.
Prime Minister Zaev will participate on two panel discussions regarding these topics.
As part of his agenda at the Brdo-Kranj Summit, the President of the Government Zoran Zaev will have a joint working meeting with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, the Federal Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel and the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev.
Moreover, Zaev will have a joint meeting with the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Jansha, the President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev and the Euro-Commissioner on Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement and high representative of the Union for foreign affairs, Josep Borrell.
On the sidelines of the Summit the Prime Minister will have bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaja Kallas and the Prime Minister of Ireland, Micheàl Martin.
